Perspective

I've been a wish-granter with the Make A Wish Foundation for close to 10 years now. My wish partner and I have traveled all across Texas... once into Arkansas, to fulfill the dreams of a child. We become a part of their family and over a period of time, these children hold a piece of our hearts forever. This position is an emotional roller coaster of ups and downs but the end result is so worthwhile that we've dedicated our lives to the cause. I have been active with many non-profit charities and the gratification and blessing that comes from Make A. Wish is immediate. To see a child's face light up with surprise, anticipation, and excitement warms my soul. For in giving the blessing, I also received. It's truly God's work at its' finest!
